Did you know that most damage is caused by user error and not through crashes as you may think !

We have compiled a list of common damage areas and causes for you to see what we deal with on a regular basis. 
Top Tube

Impact damage - handlebars spinning round

The Best Tales of woe!

We hear lot's of stories of how carbon frames get damaged and we thought we would share a few of what we think are the best!
  • The Scorned Wife - She attacked her husbands cycle with a wok!
  • Driving into the garage and forgetting that the Cycle is on top of the car!
  • Young son - jumped on the top tube of a brand new frame that was not even built yet!!
  • Neglected girlfriend - she thought her boyfriend loved his bike more than her so she took a hammer and smashed up his bike!
  • The gate jumper - Guy jumps over the gate to have a wee, jumps back over and judged it sooooooo wrong - landed on his frame!
  • Traffic lights - stopped at the lights and put his foot down......his cleats slipped on the floor until he was doing the splits and broke his top tube!

Maintenance Course at Carbon Bike Technics

My name is Julie and I look after the office side of things here at Carbon Bike Technics. I started to get into Cycling the beginning of last year and quickly got the bug, however as a lady rider I have not got a lot of faith in being able to change an inner tube or any maintanence on the roadside. The lads here have taught me everything i need to know but as I have never had to do it on a ride out as yet, it plays in the back of my mind and perhaps prevents me from going to far away from home alone in case I cannot sort it myself. My question many lady riders out there feel like I do? would you be interested in attending a ladies only maintenance course here at Carbon Bike Technics?
